The European Virtual Human Twins (VHT) Initiative The European Virtual Human Twins (VHT) Initiative is a flagship initiative of the European Commission to foster and accelerate the development of integrated, validated digital representations of the human body. These VHTs hold substantial potential for medical research and healthcare delivery, contributing to a deeper understanding of human physiology, pathology, and disease aetiology, as well as facilitating personalised, patient-centric medicine. This Initiative includes the envisaged European VHT platform, enabling the pooling of resources, assets to further develop the science and technology required for building advanced VHT-based solutions in health and care. An essential element of the Initiative is the Virtual Human Twins Manifesto, a Statement of Intent on development, evidence, and adoption in healthcare systems. This Statement of Intent serves the purpose of promoting collaboration in the current VHT ecosystem, by bringing together various ecosystem stakeholders to demonstrate their support for the European VHT Initiative, while also facilitating the context for further collaboration. The VHT Manifesto will officially launched alongside the announcement of the European VHT Initiative.   The EDITH Coordination and Support Action has been tasked by the European Commission to bring together the VHT ecosystem and produce the roadmap towards the realization of the Virtual Human Twin. Les enjeux publics de la santé mentale sont colossaux. 300 millions de personnes dépressives selon l’OMS, et autant de personnes sont atteintes de trouble de stress post traumatique. Beaucoup d’entre eux ne parviennent pas à guérir, après parfois des dizaines d’années de traitement. De plus, des centaines de millions d’autres gens souffrent des conséquences de ces pathologies : familles, collègues, entourage. La France est tout à fait concernée, en étant le pays le plus consommateur au monde d’antidépresseurs. Les thérapies psychédéliques sont la nouvelle réponse pour accompagner les personnes dont l’état de santé mentale résiste aux traitements classiques. Les Pays-Bas ouvrent la marche. Ces méthodes y sont légales (psilocybine) ou en train de le devenir (MDMA). Il est aussi possible (sous condition) de vivre aux Pays-Bas une retraite psychédélique de bien être, officiellement non-thérapeutique. Nos prochaines dates dans le lien en commentaire.

🔥NAMs et 3R... 🔥 La sémantique est importante dans la communication et trouver les bons termes n'est pas évident. NAMs pour certains signifie 'Non Animal Methods' et pour d'autres 'New Alternative Methods'. Qui donnera le LA ? 🎼 Nos collègues du 3Rs Centre Utrecht aux Pays-Bas, s'engagent pour 'New Alternative Methods' au travers de cette superbe présentation en motion design sur les 3R.❤️🎯 Merci à eux pour ce travail remarquable. J'espère que nous pourrons l'utiliser et le traduire avec leur autorisation au GIS FC3R et élargir l'utilisation et sens des NAMs 😉 Travaillant pour les 3R, personnellement pour moi l'important est que la "communauté" scientifique qui utilise et développe des NAMs parmis lesquelles on trouve les MPS ou 'Micro Physiological Systems', comprenne l'importance et l'utilité de leurs travaux pour les 3R.... même si parfois certains n'en ont jamais entendu parlé des 3R car tout simplement ils ne travaillent pas sur l'animal la plupart du temps mais sur du matériel humain et avec une visée de santé humaine. Cependant le message passe et diffuse de mieux en mieux au travers des sociétés savantes et congrès EUROoCS, MPS World Summit, FSSCR, etc... D'un autre coté les scientifiques qui font de l'expérimentation animale ou des études précliniques, ou encore font du testing de molécules, ont le devoir de trouver des méthodes de Remplacement. Les NAMs sont bien placées pour permettre de répondre à certaines de leurs problématiques scientifiques. Le tout est comment créer et provoquer des interactions entre ces deux mondes qui échangent peu alors qu'ils travaillent aux mêmes objectifs?
