Nissan taxis in Mexico: this would be Nissan Tsuru cars with petrol 1.6L engine from Nissan. Tsuru represents about 30% of all taxis measurements. Quote from Yoann Bernard: "An important issue in Mexico is the fuel quality with high level of sulfur that poisons the 3-way catalyst. Because taxis have a lot of mileage, those burn more fuel -> quicker poisonning. Still the Tsuru seems to be underperforming compared to other taxi (also on crash tests, not just emissions)". In Schottland sind Taxis durch vergleichsweise hohe Emissionen "in der realen Welt" aufgefallen, auch bei Partikel-Ausstoß gab es erstaunliche Auffälligkeiten. Im allgemeinen funktionieren die Dieselpartikelfilter (DPF) ja gut, es gibt sogar den Verdacht, dass manche die Filter ausgebaut haben. Straßen-Messungen sind eine sehr elegante Methode, Theorie und Fahrpraxis zu vergleichen, finde ich. Auch ist vergleichsweise wenig Aufwand nötig, um Stichproben zu erheben.
