Transdev is proud to announce that we have been named the new operator of Victoria's Yarra Trams alongside our partner John Holland. Yarra Journey Makers, as the joint venture is known, merges the leading multi-modal expertise of Transdev with the building, infrastructure and end-to-end rail and transport knowledge of John Holland. We're honoured to be taking on the immense responsibility of operating the world's largest light rail network for an initial term of nine years, beginning in December 2024. “Our partnership will support the Victorian Government's vision of more integrated, sustainable transport for Victoria and the delivery of Melbourne’s Tram Plan," said Brian Brennan, GAICD. “Our focus is performance and customer experience – unlocking smarter ways to move more people, day and night, with the real-time information they need, when they need it.” A detailed plan is in place for the December changeover which prioritises a seamless transition for customers and the existing workforce.
