🥤 Your cool, refreshing beverage, brought to you by ship! Where does the carbon in your carbonated drinks come from? Some of the carbon captured globally from industries is, in fact, reused in drinks manufacturing – and ship transportation is increasingly helping make the journey from factory to fizz. Liquid CO2 carriers have long been used to transport small quantities of food-grade CO2 for the food and beverage industry. Today, they are also emerging as a flexible alternative to pipelines for long distance transport, thanks to shorter setup times, route variation and adaptability to various CO2 sources. ⛴️ How can the ferries of the future minimize their environmental impact? Andreas Ullrich will have some suggestions at the Canadian Ferry Association 2024 Annual Conference in Halifax, Canada, on 8-10 September to find out. 💡 Public-facing and therefore more scrutinized, the ferry industry is under considerable pressure to reduce emissions and protect the marine environment. Presenting at the Conference, Andreas will dive into the technical and regulatory landscape that will inform designers’ and operators’ decisions for tomorrow’s vessels. As a leading Classification partner for ferries, we’re proud to be a Gold Sponsor of this event, which will provide a forum for exchange for up to 300 experts. Andreas, Nicolas Receveur and Paul Delouche look forward to seeing you there! #ShapingaBetterMaritimeWorld #PassengerFerries #SustainableTransportation
