PROJECT DESCRIPTION Steel tubular profiles present uniform behaviour in all directions, the possibility of obtaining composite behaviour by concrete infill, hence high strength, stability and good fire resistance. However, they are not widely adopted in the construction market due to the complexity and high cost of their joint details. Based on the conclusions of previous LASTEICON project and the latest developments in laser cutting technology, LASTTS project will propose new tubular structures, test their key components (under static, cyclic and fire loading), provide design guidelines and worked examples as well as disseminate the outcomes at EU level for a major market penetration. In the LASTTS project, tubular structures will be designed using LCT joints with different configurations, and tested at local and global levels.
