This week, we had an insightful conversation with Dan Ohnona, Group Head of Expansion - International & France at Carrefour Property. Carrefour is one of the world's leading food retailers, operating a diverse multi-format and omni-channel network with over 14,930 stores and e-commerce sites, welcoming 80 million customers annually. With a presence in eight countries and over 300,000 employees, Carrefour continues to innovate and expand. Dan shared exciting plans for the next 12 months, including the opening of over 2,400 new stores by the end of 2026. Notable expansions will occur in Brazil and Argentina with new Atacadão, Sam's Club, and Maxi stores, as well as numerous new proximity stores across Europe. In France, Carrefour will enhance its presence through M&A operations, incorporating Cora, Match, and former Casino Group stores into its network.
