🔖 [TANGRAM's Site Exploration #1] Discover the heart of our beautiful site, La Bastide   📜 The History : When the idea of creating a learning and innovation center came to Rodolphe SAADE, he visited the site with architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. During the lunch that followed, while listening to our Chaiman’s vision, Mr. Wilmotte drew the project’s architecture directly on a napkin. The construction’s final result is remarkably faithful to this sketch.   🏗️ Reviving 19th Century Heritage : The project includes the restoration of a historic 19th-century bastide. Embodying the location’s rich history, it was designed like the hull of a ship: the architect aimed to dig out the foundations of the Bastide, with the excavated cellars now serving as the entrance to the site.   🏠 The role of the Bastide today : The Bastide is the heart of the architectural project, its nerve center, a nexus that connects all other spaces.   🛠️ Architectural Aesthetics : The overall design is marked by minimalism, utilizing materials such as concrete, Bastide stone, glass, and metal.   In our Bastide, past and present coexist to create a nontemporal, unparalleled experience.
