For roughly half a decade, famed developer Bungie has been deep in their Destiny IP. Since launching the original game in 2014, there has been a constant stream of updates along with a full sequel in Destiny 2 that is still running now. But apparently, the company doesn’t just want to be all about Destiny and plans to move on at some point. The bad news? It’ll probably be another half decade before we see what that looks like.

In an interview with IGN, Bungie CEO Pete Parsons spoke about the company’s future post-Activision. When looking to the far future, he did mention that the company wants to have IPs out there that aren’t Destiny.

“We want to be a place that makes the world’s best entertainment,” he said, “by 2025 we have a pretty specific path to make sure we transform Destiny and that we have other franchises within the marketplace.”

Well, the company did say shortly before Destiny launched there was a ten year plan in place, so I guess they’re sticking with that pretty literally. If you’re not too into Destiny and want to see what’s next for the former Halo developer: see you in the year 2025.
