PC players who game via Steam will have a chance to try out Call of Duty: WW2’s multiplayer for free this weekend. The multiplayer portion will be available from February 25th, 1 PM PST/4 PM EST/9 PM BEST till February 28th. As is usually the case with such trials, any progress made over the weekend can be transferred over to the full game if you purchase it.
There will also be discounts for the Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions. While the Standard Edition will cost $38.99 (down from $59.99), the Digital Deluxe Edition will cost $74.99 (down from $99.99). The latter is the edition that comes with the base game and Season Pass.
Sledgehammer Games continues to support Call of Duty: WW2 with patches and free events along with paid DLC packs. However, it’s recently undergone a change in leadership – founders Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, who also directed the recent first person shooter, have moved on to “executive roles” in Activision. The studio is now being led by founding member Aaron Halon.
