Red Dead Redemption Sequel Incoming? Take Two CEO Promises “Big” Presence At E3

Is it time to ride the hype train?

Take Two, the parent company of Rockstar and 2K is apparently going to be at at this year’s E3. And guess what? Big things are in store for fans if CEO Strauss Zelnick’s comments are anything to go by. Speaking to MCV magazine (Issue 867), the big honcho stated they they will be at E3 in a “big” way.

While this could mean anything, it’s interesting to note that this is coming directly from the CEO of a major company within the game’s industry. There has to be something brewing up and Strauss simply won’t say anything unless the company has no intention to reveal something big at E3 this year. So what could this announcement be?

Grand Theft Auto 6 could still be ways off given that Rockstar is still doing a fantastic job with Grand Theft Auto Online. The publisher already has a number of big titles this year in the form of Battleborn and Mafia 3 so the best possible assumption at this stage is that the company is working on a sequel to Red Dead Redemption. It was revealed way back in 2012 that Rockstar is  interested in making a sequel so it only makes sense to announce one now.

Of course, our assumption could be completely wrong and the company could instead announce story DLC for GTA 5. Then again, judging by the news in the past few months, that may also be a big “If”.

All will be revealed this June at E3 2016 so stay tuned.
