Warhammer: Vermintide 2 released in March 2018 for PC, and while it’s seen a number of updates and DLC, its first major expansion, Winds of Magic, is out in August. A proper release date hasn’t been provided, but this does narrow the window down a bit. Developer Fatshark also confirmed that a closed beta would take place in June.
Along with a new enemy faction in the Beastmen, Winds of Magic will also introduce a new system of modifiers called, well, Winds of Magic. Eight different modifiers exist that are meant to offer more replay value for players. You can also expect new weapons and leaderboards, at long last.
Head here to sign up for the beta. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is also available for Xbox One and PS4 (the former even has it on Xbox Game Pass). You can check out GamingBolt’s review of the base game on PC here, though keep in mind that several balance changes have been made to classes, weapons, and difficulty since the game’s launch.
