Purpose of the role:

The Human Resource Officer will be a key member of the team and be the first point of contact for employees and line managers in dealing with a wide variety of HR queries and activities to the Betway Guernsey branch. Liaise with Betway Malta, Betway Spain and Win Technologies to ensure HR service is consistent across the Group.


You will be responsible for:


HR Administration

  • Ensure the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation,
  • Administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment, internal changes, reference requests,
  • Be involved in special projects when needed,
  • Provide confidential advice on a broad range of HR matters mostly relating to company policies & procedures, terms & conditions of employment and employee benefits,
  • Submit monthly payroll and ensure an up-to-date payroll tracker,
  • Train employees and managers on Workday,
  • Ensure the intranet is kept up to date,
  • Embed process or system changes,
  • Respond to enquiries from employees, management & applicants as appropriate,
  • Management and co-ordination of administration,
  • Receive day to day direction/guidance from the respective HRBPs,
  • Conduct exit interviews.


HR Reporting

  • Monthly absence reporting,
  • Quarterly reporting on turnover, recruitment etc.,


Benefits, policy, and procedure

  • Advise employees on HR policies and procedures,
  • Advise Managers on best practise on Employment Relations, policy, and HR process,
  • Create a yearly policy review schedule to ensure up to date and any relevant changes applied,
  • Ensure policies and procedures are compliant with Guernsey law,
  • Conduct yearly benefit review to remain competitive,
  • Work closely with London, Malta and Spain HR teams to align policies, procedures and processes where relevant across the Betway Group,
  • Deal with employee relations issues and provide support to line managers across the business,
  • Advise on performance management activities and resolutions,
  • Assist with annual pay review process,
  • Employee Relations and discipline for assigned area.


Talent Acquisition

  • Support as required in the internal and external recruitment process,
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition Partner to build Betway as an employer of choice in Guernsey by developing talent pools and being active in local job market,
  • Evaluate applicant skills and recommendations regarding applicant’s job fit,

  • Assist with relocation to Guernsey.


Onboarding

  • Ownership of the onboarding process including ensuring managers are prepared for arrival for new starter, set up induction process,
  • Be involved in the on boarding and settling-in of new recruits,
  • Take the lead in employee induction for HR and regarding new starter induction and development actions,
  • Ensure induction is up to date and relevant,
  • Ensure probation review meetings are held and confirm employees.


Employee development

  • Combiinedf and personal development forms,
  • Identify and ensure training needs are met (using internal and external resources),
  • Assist HRBPs and the Organisational Development team with identifying talent and development opportunities.


Communication and engagement

  • Work closely with wider Betway Group Communications team to ensure messages are consistent and themed in all locations,
  • Create weekly TV screen slides with information,
  • Establish a strong CSR plan,
  • Run the social committee – build social connection and team building.


Office Management

  • Assisting the Executive Assistant with looking after the office,
  • Covering office management duties when Executive Assistant is on leave.

You will have:

  • Proven record in HR administration,
  • Experience in creating new administration processes,
  • Experience working with HR projects,
  • Good understanding of local employment law,
  • Good understanding of recruitment process end to end,
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


It would be a bonus if you also had:

  • Experience in using a HR database, ideally Workday,
  • Relevant HR Qualification.
