  • LIVING WATER EPISODE 64 || 04TH JUNE, 2024 By Christnode RESURRECTION MORNING: LESSONS FOR BUSINESSES Scripture Reading: Matthew 28:1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. Good morning, everyone. Today, we reflect on a profound moment in history, a moment that changed the course of humanity. As we delve into the events of the first Easter morning, let us draw parallels that can inspire and guide our business practices. Our focus scripture is Matthew 28:1 (NIV): "After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb." 1. The Courage to Face Uncertainty: Mary Magdalene and the other Mary showed tremendous courage as they approached the tomb. They did not know what awaited them, yet they stepped forward with faith and determination. In business, we often face uncertainties and challenges that can be daunting. The courage to face these uncertainties head-on is crucial. Just as the women went to the tomb despite their fears, we must also approach our business challenges with faith. This courage can lead to unexpected breakthroughs and divine opportunities. Joshua 1:9 (NIV) reminds us, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." 2. The Power of Persistence: The women did not give up, even when it seemed all hope was lost. Their persistence led them to witness the greatest miracle of all time—the resurrection of Jesus. In business, persistence is key. There will be setbacks and obstacles, but it is through perseverance that we achieve success. Galatians 6:9 (NIV) encourages us, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Just as Mary Magdalene and the other Mary kept going, we too must remain steadfast in our efforts, trusting that our hard work will bear fruit in due season. 3. Embracing New Beginnings: The dawn of the first day of the week marked a new beginning, not just for the women at the tomb, but for all of humanity. The resurrection signifies hope, renewal, and the start of something new. In our businesses, we should embrace new beginnings and the opportunities they bring. Isaiah 43:19 (NIV) says, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." As business leaders, we should be open to innovation, ready to adapt, and willing to seize new opportunities that can lead to growth and transformation. https://lnkd.in/e838haKB

  • LIVING WATER EPISODE 252|| 11TH FEBRUARY, 2025 By Solomon-Uwumbolibe Mensah SEEKING WISDOM IN TIMES OF DECISION Scripture Readings: Esther 1:13 "Since it was customary for the king to consult experts in matters of law and justice, he spoke with the wise men who understood the times." In the book of Esther, King Xerxes is portrayed as a ruler who sought counsel from wise men regarding important matters of law and justice. This practice highlights the significance of wisdom, discernment, and understanding the times in decision-making. While earthly leaders rely on human wisdom, the ultimate source of true wisdom is God. Today, we will explore three key lessons from this passage; seeking godly wisdom, understanding the times, and applying wisdom in our daily lives. 1. The Importance of Seeking Godly Wisdom King Xerxes consulted experts in matters of law and justice, recognizing that leadership requires wisdom. However, the wisdom of men is limited. James 1:5 reminds us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." True wisdom comes from God, and as believers, we must seek His guidance through prayer, His Word, and the counsel of godly individuals. 2. Understanding the Times and Seasons The wise men in Xerxes’ court were described as those who "understood the times." In 1 Chronicles 12:32, the men of Issachar were similarly praised for their ability to discern the times and know what Israel should do. As Christians, we must cultivate spiritual discernment to recognize the season we are in—whether in our personal lives, the church, or the world. Ecclesiastes 3:1 states, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." When we understand the times, we can make informed, Spirit-led decisions. 3. Applying Wisdom in Our Daily Lives Wisdom is not just about knowing the right things but about applying them correctly. Proverbs 4:7 says, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." We must integrate wisdom into our decisions, relationships, and spiritual walk. Whether at work, in family matters, or in ministry, we should seek divine wisdom to act justly and righteously. King Xerxes sought counsel from those who understood the times, yet he ultimately relied on human wisdom. As followers of Christ, we must go beyond human reasoning and seek divine wisdom in all things. God’s wisdom surpasses human understanding and guides us in truth. Let us be intentional in seeking God's direction, discerning the times, and applying His wisdom daily. https://lnkd.in/ehd3niMT

  • LIVING WATER EPISODE 251|| 10TH FEBRUARY, 2025 By Solomon-Uwumbolibe Mensah DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING Scripture Reading: Philippians 4 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6 Worry and anxiety have become a common part of life. People worry about their finances, health, relationships, and the future. But in Philippians 4:6, the Apostle Paul gives a powerful command, not to be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, we should present our requests to God. This verse reminds us that God does not want His children to live in fear. Instead, He offers a better way: prayer, petition, and thanksgiving. Today, we will explore how we can replace anxiety with faith and trust in God. • A Clear Command: “Do Not Be Anxious. Paul does not suggest that we should “try” not to be anxious; he commands us not to be anxious about anything. This means; No anxiety about finances for God is our Provider, No anxiety about the future for God holds the future, No anxiety about trials and troubles for God works all things for good. Anxiety does not solve problems; it only drains our energy and focus. Instead of worrying, God calls us to trust in Him. • The Alternative: Prayer and Petition: Instead of allowing anxiety to control us, Paul tells us to take everything to God in prayer. Prayer: is our conversation with God, where we lay our burdens before Him. Petition on the other hand, is bringing specific requests to God, knowing He cares about every detail of our lives. Imagine a child who has a need. Instead of worrying, the child simply asks their father, trusting that he will provide. In the same way, God invites us to bring our concerns to Him. • The Power of Thanksgiving. Paul adds an important key: we must pray with thanksgiving. Thanksgiving shifts our focus from problems to God’s goodness. It reminds us of what God has already done, strengthening our faith for what He will do. Gratitude aligns our hearts with God’s will, making our prayers more powerful.  In John 11:41, before Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He thanked God in advance. Thanksgiving expresses trust in God’s faithfulness! • The Promise of Peace: When we follow Paul’s instruction, God’s peace replaces our anxiety. Philippians 4:7 says: "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." This is a supernatural peace, one that protects our hearts from fear and our minds from doubt. What are you anxious about today? Instead of carrying that burden alone, give it to God in prayer and experience His peace. https://lnkd.in/exgv2qdU

  • LIVING WATER EPISODE 250|| 9TH, 2025 By Solomon Uwumbolibe Mensah STRENGTH THROUGH CHRIST Scripture: Reading:  Philippians 4 ‘I can do all this through him who gives me strength.’ Philippians 4:13 Life is full of challenges, obstacles, and moments when we feel weak. We often encounter situations that seem beyond our ability to handle. But as believers, we are not called to rely on our own strength alone. Instead, we are reminded by the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:13 that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. 1. Understanding the Context of Philippians 4:13 Many people quote this verse as a personal mantra for success, but its true meaning goes beyond personal achievements. Paul wrote these words while he was imprisoned, facing hardship and suffering for the gospel. Yet, he was content and confident, not because of his own abilities, but because of Christ’s power within him. Paul had learned to be content in all circumstances (Philippians 4:11-12). His strength did not come from material wealth or human support but from Christ alone. This verse teaches us that God’s strength is sufficient no matter our situation. 2. The Source of Our Strength: Christ Christ is the ultimate source of strength for every believer. When we rely on Him: We overcome trials – No challenge is too great when Christ is with us. We fulfill God’s calling – Whatever God asks us to do, He provides the strength to accomplish it. We endure hardships – Even in suffering, we can persevere because Christ sustains us. 3. Living in the Power of Christ How can we apply Philippians 4:13 to our daily lives? Through Prayer – Seek God daily for strength in everything you do. Through Faith – Trust that He is in control even when life seems uncertain. Through Obedience – Follow His will, knowing that He equips those He calls. Philippians 4:13 is not just a motivational quote; it is a declaration of faith. It reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles, for Christ is our strength. When we surrender to Him, we can face any trial, achieve God’s purpose, and walk in victory. Call to Action: Are you facing a situation where you feel weak or incapable? Turn to Jesus. Rely on His strength, not your own, and experience the power that enables you to do all things through Him! Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being my strength. Teach me to rely on You in every situation. Help me to trust in Your power and not my own. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • LIVING WATER EPISODE 249|| 8TH FEBRUARY, 2025 By Solomon-Uwumbolibe Mensah THE AUTHORITY OF CHRIST OVER ALL POWERS Scripture Readings: Mark 1:27 “The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, ‘What is this? A new teaching, and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.’” (Mark 1:27, NIV) The Gospel of Mark presents Jesus as a man of action, demonstrating His power and authority over every realm. In Mark 1:27, we see a moment that astonished those who witnessed it: The people were used to religious leaders who taught traditions, but Jesus' words and actions carried divine power and authority. His authority was not just in words but in demonstration; even unclean spirits obeyed Him! This verse highlights three key aspects of Christ’s authority: His authority in teaching, His authority over spiritual forces, and His authority to transform lives. 1. Christ’s Authority in Teaching The people were amazed at Jesus’ teaching because He spoke with authority, unlike the religious leaders of the time. His words carried power because: • He spoke as the Son of God: Unlike the scribes, who relied on human traditions, Jesus spoke divine truth directly from God (John 7:16-17). • His words brought conviction and life: His teachings did not just inform but transformed lives (John 6:63).  As believers, we must submit to the teachings of Christ. Are we aligning our lives with His Word? 2. Christ’s Authority Over Spiritual Forces The people were astonished that Jesus could command evil spirits, and they obeyed Him. This shows that: • Jesus has power over the demonic realm: No force of darkness can resist His command (Luke 10:17). • He came to set captives free: His authority brings deliverance to those oppressed by sin and evil (Isaiah 61:1). If Christ has power over evil, then we need not fear any force of darkness. Do we trust in His power to deliver us? 3. Christ’s Authority to Transform Lives Jesus’ authority was not just about words or power; it was about bringing real transformation. This means: • He has the power to change hearts: Those who encounter Christ are never the same (2 Corinthians 5:17). • He calls us to live under His rule: When we submit to His authority, our lives become a testimony of His power (Matthew 28:18-20). Are we allowing Christ to transform us daily? Are we living as those under His lordship? https://lnkd.in/ebKsD4Hd

  • LIVING WATER EPISODE 248|| 7TH FEBRUARY, 2025 By Solomon Uwumbolibe Mensah THE AUTHORITY OF JESUS OVER THE STORM Scripture Reading: Matthew 8:26-27 “He replied, ‘You of little faith, why are you so afraid?’ Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, ‘What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!’” (Matthew 8:26-27, NIV) Life is full of storms; both literal and metaphorical. We face trials, uncertainties, and moments of fear. In Matthew 8:26-27, we see a powerful demonstration of Christ’s authority over nature, revealing His power, His care for His followers, and His ability to bring peace in the midst of chaos. The call to faith in the storm, the authority of Jesus over all creation, and the necessity of recognizing who Jesus truly is. 1. The Call to Faith in the Storm Before calming the storm, Jesus rebukes His disciples, saying, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” This reveals: • Fear often comes from a lack of faith: The disciples were overwhelmed by their circumstances rather than trusting in Jesus (2 Timothy 1:7). • Jesus desires our trust, even in the storm: The storm was real, but so was Jesus’ presence. Faith means trusting Him, even when the waves seem overwhelming. When we face personal storms; financial struggles, illness, relationship problems, do we panic, or do we trust that Jesus is in control? 2. The Authority of Jesus Over All Creation After addressing their fear, Jesus rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. This demonstrates: • Jesus has power over nature: His command brings immediate peace, showing that He is Lord over all creation (Colossians 1:16-17). • His authority extends beyond the physical: If He can calm a storm, He can calm the storms in our hearts and lives. No matter how chaotic life gets, Jesus has the power to bring peace. Will we allow Him to calm our fears and restore our trust in Him? 3. Recognizing Who Jesus Truly Is The disciples, amazed, asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” This moment led them to deeper understanding: • Jesus is more than a teacher; He is the Son of God: His authority over nature proves His divine nature (John 1:1-3). • A proper response to Jesus is worship and trust: The more we recognize His power, the more we should surrender to Him in faith. Who is Jesus to you? A distant figure, or the Lord of your life? Recognizing His power should lead us to deeper faith and obedience. . https://lnkd.in/eKzKKEbx

  • LIVING WATER EPISODE 246|| 5TH FEBRUARY, 2025 By Solomon Uwumbolibe Mensah  CHRIST, THE SUPREME AUTHORITY OVER ALL Scripture Reading: Colossians 1:16-17 “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:16-17, NIV) The book of Colossians was written by the Apostle Paul to address false teachings and to emphasize the supremacy of Christ. In Colossians 1:16-17, Paul powerfully declares the absolute authority of Jesus Christ over all creation. These verses read: In this passage, we see three fundamental truths about Christ’s authority: He is the Creator of all things, the Sustainer of all things, and the Purpose of all things. 1. Christ as the Creator of All Things Paul clearly states that all things were created in Him, through Him, and for Him. This means: • He is the source of creation: The universe did not come into existence by accident. Christ was present in creation (John 1:1-3), and everything exists because of Him. • He has authority over all: Since Christ created everything, He has dominion over it. Whether it be natural elements, spiritual beings, or earthly rulers—everything owes its existence to Him.  If Christ created all things, we must recognize His authority over our lives. Our gifts, resources, and very existence belong to Him. Are we living in submission to His will? 2. Christ as the Sustainer of All Things Paul continues by declaring that “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” This means: • Christ is eternal: He existed before creation and is not bound by time (John 8:58). His preexistence signifies His divinity and unchanging nature. • Christ sustains everything: The laws of physics, the orbits of planets, the breath in our lungs—everything is held together by His power. If He were to withdraw His sustaining hand, chaos would ensue. If Christ holds all things together, then He also holds your life together. No matter what challenges or uncertainties you face, trust that He is in control. He holds your future, your family, your career, and your destiny in His hands. https://lnkd.in/ey2w2RY3

LIVING WATER EPISODE 245|| 4TH FEBRUARY, 2025 By Solomon Uwumbolibe Mensah   THE VICTORY IN CHRIST Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:57 Victory is something that everyone desires. In life, we face battles; spiritual, emotional, and physical. But as believers, our confidence rests in the fact that our victory is already secured in Christ. The Apostle Paul, writing to the Corinthians, declares this triumphant truth: "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." What does this victory mean for us? How do we live in the reality of this triumph? Let us examine this powerful verse and its implications for our lives. 1. The Source of Our Victory: "Thanks be to God" Victory in life does not come from our own strength, wisdom, or effort. It comes from God alone. The battles we face—sin, death, and spiritual struggles—cannot be overcome by human power. • Romans 8:37 says, "In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." • Psalm 44:3 reminds us, "It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your face, for You loved them." True victory begins with thanksgiving to God, acknowledging that He is our Deliverer. 2. The Gift of Victory: "Who gives us the victory" Notice that the verse does not say we earn or achieve victory. It is a gift from God. Salvation, righteousness, and eternal life are given to us freely. • We do not fight for victory; we fight from victory. • Our victory is not based on circumstances but on God's unchanging promise. • Jesus has already defeated the enemy—Satan, sin, and death. This means we must stop relying on our own abilities and start trusting in what God has already done. 3. The Means of Victory: "Through our Lord Jesus Christ" Victory is not found in religion, philosophy, or human strength. It is found only in Jesus Christ. • John 16:33 – "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." • Colossians 2:15 – "Having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." • Revelation 12:11 – "They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." Through Christ’s death and resurrection, we have victory over sin, guilt, condemnation, and even death itself. https://lnkd.in/etYvvR5f

  • LIVING WATER EPISODE 243|| 2ND FEBRUARY, 2025 By Solomon Uwumbolibe Mensah  KNOWING THE RIGHT TO USE THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST Scripture Readings: Philippians 2:9-10 "Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth." The name of Jesus is the most powerful name in heaven and on earth. It carries divine authority, power, and dominion. However, many believers fail to walk in victory because they do not fully understand their right to use His name. Today, we will explore what it means to know and use the name of Jesus Christ with boldness. 1. The Name of Jesus Carries Divine Authority • Jesus was given a name that is above every name (Philippians 2:9-10). His name carries authority over:   The Heavens (angels and spiritual realms submit to it),  The Earth (human and natural laws respond to it),   Under the Earth (demons and hell tremble at it). Every believer has been given the right to use this name as a weapon against the enemy. 2. The Right to Use the Name of Jesus is Given to Believers • Jesus gave His disciples the authority to use His name (Mark 16:17-18). • This right is not for unbelievers; only those who are in Christ can use His name effectively. • The seven sons of Sceva tried to use His name without knowing Him and were attacked (Acts 19:13-16). • Knowing Jesus personally gives us legal access to His name. 3. The Name of Jesus Gives Power Over the Enemy • Jesus said in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy.” • When we use the name of Jesus, demons flee (Mark 16:17). • The early church performed miracles in His name (Acts 3:6 – Peter healed the lame man at the temple). • The name of Jesus is our weapon for victory in spiritual warfare. 4. The Name of Jesus Brings Answered Prayers • Jesus promised that whatever we ask in His name will be granted (John 14:13-14). • His name is the key to unlocking divine blessings. • When we pray in His name, we are declaring that our authority comes from Him, not ourselves. • Miracles, healing, and breakthroughs happen when we pray in faith, using His name. https://lnkd.in/duSBJC3V

  • LIVING WATER EPISODE 242|| 1ST FEBRUARY, 2025 By Solomon Uwumbolibe Mensah MY AUTHORITY IN CHRIST JESUS Scripture Reading: Philippians 2:9-10:  “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.” Heavenly Father, I come before You today with a heart full of gratitude, lifting up my voice in thanksgiving. Thank You for the precious gift of salvation and for making me a child of the Kingdom through Jesus Christ. I give You all the glory, honor, and praise because You have not only saved me but also bestowed upon me divine authority in Christ Jesus. Thank You, Father, for raising me up with Christ and seating me with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). I am no longer a slave to sin, fear, or the powers of darkness, but I walk in dominion through the victory of the cross. By the sacrifice of Jesus, I have been given authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). Lord, I am grateful that You have given me the right to use the name of Jesus, a name above every name, before which every knee must bow (Philippians 2:9-11). Through His name, I have power over sickness, disease, oppression, and every force of wickedness. I thank You that when I speak in faith, heaven backs me up, and the gates of hell cannot prevail against me. I bless Your name, O Lord, because You have transferred me from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Your dear Son (Colossians 1:13). I am no longer under the dominion of the enemy, but I reign in life through Christ Jesus. Thank You for clothing me with Your armor—Your truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the sword of the Spirit—so that I can stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18). Father, I thank You because no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment, I condemn, for this is my heritage as Your servant (Isaiah 54:17). Thank You for giving me authority to decree a thing, and it shall be established (Job 22:28). My words carry power because they align with Your will. Lord, I am grateful that I am a royal priesthood, a holy nation, set apart for Your glory (1 Peter 2:9). I am an ambassador of Christ, and I walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Because of the authority I have in You, I can command mountains to move, rebuke the enemy, and declare victory over every challenge I face. Thank You, Father, for entrusting me with this great privilege of authority in Christ. May I always walk in this truth, never doubting the power You have placed in me. Help me to exercise my authority with wisdom, boldness, and humility, knowing that it is all for Your glory. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray. Amen
