  • After an amazing first year at Guinness Ghana, Felicite shares her experience and thoughts on boldness in leadership [2 min read]. https://lnkd.in/g2cYBQMn

Today marks my first full year as Managing Director of Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC and as I reflect on my journey, one word resonates deeply ‘BOLD’. This powerful theme, which anchors our culture at Diageo South, West, and Central Africa, is a reminder to strive to be authentic and fearless, to have conviction in our decisions, and to take ownership of them. The past year has been a journey of embracing challenges head-on. Transitioning into a new environment, navigating an ever-evolving and challenging business environment, anticipating and adapting to the ever changing consumer behaviour, all while forming bonds and relationships with a talented new team and key stakeholders have been a real test. But through it all, we have remained bold in our approach, authentic to our values, fearless in our pursuit of excellence, and delivered an outstanding performance. For me personally, being bold has meant stepping outside my comfort zone, un-learning, and re-learning about a new culture, confronting vulnerability, staying curious, making decisions with conviction, embedding the value of courage in the organisational culture and learning to own the outcomes irrespective of successes or setbacks. It has been a year of immense personal and professional growth. I’ve learned that true boldness isn’t just about the grand gestures; it’s about the courage to take smart risks, the humility to listen, care for and be connected to the people I lead. It’s about the courage to dare, to keep on pushing the limits of what I think is possible and stay ahead of the course, even when the path is uncertain. Being bold has paid off in remarkable ways. Guinness Ghana was recognized as an industry leader by a plethora of coveted prestigious awards, a testament to the conviction with which we have led and the dedication of our entire team. As I look to the future, I remain hopeful and optimistic. I relish the challenges ahead because I know that by staying bold, by continuing to lead with authenticity and conviction, we will not only overcome obstacles but also create new opportunities for growth and innovation. The journey has just begun, and I am excited about what lies ahead for Guinness Ghana Breweries. Together, with my amazing team, we will continue to push boundaries, challenge the status quo, and shape a future full of promise. #BoldProgressiveConnected #DareForMore #DiageoSWC #GuinnessGhana #Diageo

  • A really fantastic perspective from Felicite Nson on the relevance of 'Staying Connected' as a driver for success... (2-minute read) https://lnkd.in/dQ53m8VF

As I reflect on our first townhall of the 2025 fiscal year, one theme that resonated deeply with me: the importance of staying connected. This year, as part of Diageo South, West, and Central Africa’s new culture code, we have embraced the power of connection - not just in our work but in how we lead, collaborate, and grow together. Staying connected isn’t just about meetings and check ins ; it’s about fostering genuine relationships with our teams, understanding their challenges, and celebrating their successes. It’s about being present, approachable, and actively engaged with the incredible individuals who drive our business forward. In a year where we’ve set ambitious targets, it’s easy to get lost in the numbers, but it’s our people who are at the heart of our success. Connection is also about integrity, ethics and compassion. We have committed ourselves to delivering outstanding results, but how we achieve them matters just as much. We must hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards, treating each other with respect and care every step of the way. In that townhall, I saw our team’s passion and dedication. I felt the shared commitment to our collective goals and was reminded that our greatest strength lies in unity. We are in this together, and by staying connected, we create a culture where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to give their best. As we forge ahead, let us remember that staying connected isn’t a one-time effort; it’s a continuous commitment. Let’s listen more, support each other, and celebrate every milestone along the way. Together, with integrity and compassion, we will achieve great things. Let’s continue to dare for more, because when we are connected, there’s nothing we cannot achieve. #BoldProgressiveConnected #DareforMore #DiageoSWC

Over 270 individuals have been given a new chance at improving their lives and that of their communities after graduating from Guinness Ghana’s Learning for Life Programme in Accra. Over 58% of the graduating class were women who joined the fully funded training programme organised in partnership with the Youth Employment Agency, Ghana Tourism Authority, and the Diageo Bar Academy. Managing Director of Guinness Ghana, Felicite Nson, speaking at the graduation ceremony noted, “we hope that, as this maiden edition of the Learning for Life program opens the opportunity for members of our society to take part to build the requisite skills and capabilities in the hospitality industry, we will see great entrepreneurs, hoteliers, Master mixologists, and the likes. emerge among our graduates.” #LearningForLife #Society2030 #SpiritOfProgress Lynessa Darko Yvonne Alhassan Philip Ashon Sylvia Owusu-Ankomah Estella Muzito Ngozi Aghomi James Boakye SARFO (MBA) Rudolph Ayertey Justin Mollel

  • Ghana’s leading beverage business, Guinness Ghana, has handed over solar powered water facilities to the residents of Kayoro Saboro in the Kassena Nankana West district in the upper east region and Ullo-Dantie in the Jirapa municipal assembly in the upper west region in line with its Water for Life project. The facility’s combined output will be 125,560 cubic meters of water yearly and will serve over 18,000 people in both catchment areas.
