⭐️WELCOME TO N. DOWUONA AND COMPANY ⭐️ Hi Network! Exactly 2 weeks ago today, I began my journey as an intern at N. Dowuona and Company! The firm, led by NanaAma Botchway, Gwendy Bannerman and Akosua Achiaa Akobour Debrah lives and breathes female empowerment 👩🏾💼💪🏾. This and their impact on the corporate and commercial scene drew me to the firm. Here’s a few values of the firm that I resonated with: 1. Social engagement 🤝🏾 N. Dowuona has an amazing Marketing and Business development team working on their LinkedIn, Instagram and podcast episodes. They also engage in community service through their project, ND&C LaunchPad which supports and gives free legal advice to female-led SMEs. Their love for their community is admirable. 2. Teamwork 👨👩👧👦 Did you know that the Avengers work at N. Dowuona? 🧐 This is more of an inside joke between employees. The Avengers mentioned above 🦸🏾♀️ are the litigation team. The other teams also have superhero code names. Daphne Martinson-Larbi (Head of HR) plays a huge role in maintaining team spirit via the pupils' weekly debrief sessions. Here they recount projects they worked on and how they spent their weekends. Her continuous welfare check-ins were much appreciated and made me feel at ease. 3. Technological advancement 📡 Forward-thinking is N.Dowuona to a T. Each work day has half of the employees online and the other half in the office, except for Fridays when everyone works from home. Employees benefit from a flexible work-life thanks to the company’s extensive use of Microsoft Teams. Also, documents, acts and regulations are accessible online, allowing seamless communication between employees in and out of the office. This has made me eager to explore Microsoft Teams.
