We are thrilled to congratulate our Executive Director, Bright Ofori on his appointment to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) YouthLED Integrity Advisory Board! Bright Ofori is a Marketing and Business Development Strategist with more than half a decade of corporate experience, driving growth across various industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ghana, with additional courses in Marketing Analytics, Project Management, and Diplomacy. His experience spans consultancy, automotive, real estate, and other sectors, where he has supported brands both in Ghana and internationally. For the past decade, his role as a youth advocate has been marked by active engagement in initiatives dedicated to promoting human rights, combating corruption, advancing environmental sustainability, and enhancing governance. His passion for youth development has driven him to collaborate with multilateral organizations, governments, and diplomatic missions worldwide. He has contributed to shaping global discussions and policies through engagements with key institutions, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), European Parliament, North-South Centre of the Council of Europe, Ghana's Office of the Special Prosecutor, Ministry of Youth and Sports, European Union Delegation in Ghana, and many others. At the UN Regional Office in Kenya, Bright contributed to developing a roadmap to strengthen the role of non-governmental actors (young people, academia, and civil society) in the fight against corruption, which was submitted by the Government of the United States of America in December 2023 during the Tenth Session of the Conference of the States Parties (CoSP10) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). In 2023, at the invitation of UNODC, he represented the voices of young Africans as a Youth Speaker, where he spoke on and defined strategies for advancing the implementation of UNCAC from a regional perspective and at the country level, focusing on possible country-to-country collaboration. His advocacy work has spanned Africa and Europe, solidifying his role as a prominent advocate for youth empowerment and sustainable development. Bright Ofori is the Founder and Executive Director of The Bright Future Alliance (TBFA), a youth-led civil society organization dedicated to advocating for good governance, fighting against economic crime (anti-corruption), promoting environmental sustainability, and empowering young people across the world, with a special focus on Africa, where he continues to drive meaningful change.
