Isaac Schultz

Isaac is a science writer for Gizmodo covering space, archaeology, and particle and quantum physics, among other things. He's been at Gizmodo since December 2020. Significant stories Isaac works on are humankind's race for commercially viable fusion technology, the ways AI technologies are being deployed in the sciences, and the attempts by some groups to 'de-extinct' lost species. Isaac also broke the news of nature's smallest-known reptile, a Madagascan chameleon. Before Gizmodo Isaac was a writer for Atlas Obscura, where he mostly covered archaeology, nature, and that which generally sparks wonder. Isaac is an alumnus of Rice University and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. Outside of writing, Isaac likes soccer, frisbee, water sports, and playing music.
