🚀 Over the past few years, we have seen our Workshop in the field of Drug and Radioligand Therapy grown in size, providing networking and knowledge sharing opportunities for all attendees. This year's 4th Annual BIOEMTECH’s Preclinical Workshop programme included presentations on key topics from some of the most established scientists in the field. 🔬 We also had a full day of hands-on experience in our boutique laboratories, covering radiochemistry, model preparation, in vivo imaging and post-processing issues. Each year we accept the challenge of organizing a scientific meeting of high quality that will deliver additional and valuable information to the radiotheranostic community. 📣 We are very pleased to already invite you to our next 5th Workshop from 30 of September to 3 of October 2025. 📣 We are waiting with great anticipation to see you again in Athens. #preclinicalresearch, #molecularimaging, #drugdiscovery, #pharmaceuticalresearch, #nuclearmedicine, #oncology, #radiopharmaceuticals Take a look on this years video!! 👇

BIOEMTECH is a preclinical CRO that aims to bridge the gap between ex vivo studies and in vivo molecular imaging, by providing cost effective solutions in terms of instrumentation and services. BIOEMTECH has developed and commercialized the "eyes", the first desktop cameras, suitable for whole body, real time imaging of PET and SPECT isotopes in mice. In addition, BIOEMTECH undertakes full studies for evaluating new compounds in our authorized laboratories that include animal facility, in vitro lab, radiochemistry lab and in vivo imaging with microPET/SPECT/CT and optical imaging. Our clients include both Universities and Pharma companies. The company is GLP accredited for pwrforming Toxicological studies and is licensed to use radioisotopes, hence capable of evaluating diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals. Finally, BIOEMTECH is rather active as an imaging partner in several projects including H2020, FET, ERA, ITN and more.

👨🔬 Science Letter #️⃣ Νο2 @ BIOEMTECH’s Knowledge Hub 👉 https://lnkd.in/dmn4HvZc 📆 In this month's edition, we are pleased to publish an article from our long-term collaborator Mattia Asti, on the subject of "Chelators for the next generation of Theranostic Soft Radiometals" ☢️ . Mattia is a highly accomplished biochemist with considerable experience in the synthesis, pre-clinical evaluation and preparation of radiopharmaceuticals, as well as in the development of new radioligands. 👇 🔬 According to #Pearson's HSAB theory, chemical species can be classified as either "hard" or "soft", based on certain intrinsic properties. While the majority of the commonly used radiometals are classified as "hard", several promising potential theranostic radionuclides, fall into the "soft" or "intermediate" categories. The HSAB theory can provide valuable insight into the design of effective chelators for radiometals . Known chelators are highly effective in encapsulating commonly used radiometal ions. This concept was highlighted by comparing the performance of #DOTA, with that of modified DOTA derivatives. As a result, the performance of DOTA can be significantly enhanced. In particular, a strong correlation was observed between the chemical softness of the radiometals and their corresponding chelators, which further validates the utility of the HSAB theory in the design of new chelating scaffolds. #TheranosticSoftRadiometals, #HSABtheory, #ScienceLetters, #KnowledgeHub, #DrugDiscovery, #Radiopharmaceutics

At BIOEMTECH, we have an inherent passion for sharing knowledge. It is what drives us to organise our Annual Workshop and what made us aspire a specific science spot in our website, where someone can just read scientific reports and be scientifically updated on what is happening in the exciting field of Drug Discovery & Targeted Radioligand Therapy. This is why we are launching the Knowledge Hub 🧠 - each month we will be uploading a new "Science Letter" 👩🔬 , created by our collaborators, sponsors and team members. You can already read the first one, by Janke Kleynhans, on "Working with Actinium-225". 👉 https://lnkd.in/dmf4SeFh #ScienceLetters, #KnowledgeHub, #DrugDiscovery, #Radiopharmaceutics, #Actinium
