Consistently implementing actions that contribute to the protection of the environment, our experts in Northern Greece carried out an in-depth cleaning in the Karabournaki beach in Thessaloniki, together with iSea NGO, as part of our CSR Days 2024. During the cleanup, our people collected more than 300 pieces of waste from the beach, weighing over 25 kg, with 97% of the waste being plastic. At Grant Thornton, we firmly believe that protecting our environment is the undeniable way to securing a brighter future for everyone. Honoring this year's World Environment Day, we organized our CSR Days 2024 in collaboration with we4all, carrying out an in-depth cleaning in the Chaidari Grove and collecting 22 large bags of waste from the area. The objective of the action was the prevention of fire risk, the formation of clean firebreak zones, the development of the local ecosystem, and the natural beauty recovery of a forest site deeply affected by waste pollution. At the same time, together with we4all we will carry out a large tree planting of a total of 250 fruitful saplings in the area of North Evia, which was affected by the devastating fires, aiming to strengthen the local ecosystems, the local economy and support the farmers of the area.
