We are pleased and honored to announce that MARESCO has become a member (Non-Governmental Expert) of the Naval Systems Capability Technology (CapTech) groups of European Defence Agency (EDA). MARESCO was reccomended and accepted by the dedicated authorities in EDA and the Hellenic MoD, in the CapTech Maritime group which addresses naval platforms, both surface and underwater, including Unmanned Maritime Systems and integrated systems (including sensors, weapons, energy propulsion, etc.), addressing their design, integration, and life-cycle improvement. EDA has established a number of specific Capability Technology groups (‘CapTechs’) to undertake research & technology (R&T) activities in response to agreed defence capability needs. They also contribute to Agency projects and programmes from wider policy areas with their specific expertise. The main objective of CapTech Maritime is to support European Navies on current and future challenges within the naval areas of research and technology. In order to achieve this objective, the CapTech Maritime aims to build a shared vision among the governmental and non-governmental members of CapTech on the most urgent technological gaps and technical challenges. MARESCO with its expertise and demonstrated knowledge and experience will participate and support the forum.
