Kassow Robots on fire 🔥 Presence of Netelco SA during the festivities of the Old Town of Xanthi The Netelco SA team decided to participate in the festivities of the Old Town of Xanthi during the festivities on August 31st to September 7th 2024. The Old Town Festivals, which have been taking place since 1991 with the arrival of autumn. Most of these events take place in the traditional preserved settlement of Xanthi, the so-called "Old Town", in the alleys of which cultural and carnival clubs are set up to offer food and drinks. Feasts are set up at the clubs' hangouts, while cultural and visual events are held at the same time. Netelco ABEE having a passion for automation and modernization designed a gas BBQ, installed and programmed a 7-axis arm from Kassow Robots a Bosch Rexroth group company to grill fully automatically. The arm also used an electric grinder to salt the meat. The arm's work cycle included the following movements: it took the grill racks with the raw meats, placed them on the grill, turned them until they were cooked, and then placed the cooked meat in a disc. The purpose of the above application was to highlight the usefulness of Cobots in everyday life, the ease of their programming, the minimum space required to operate as well as the flexibility provided by the 7 axis of the KR Cobots as the Arm was placed on the side of the BBQ adding space and flexibility.

The Roll-Out Evnet 2024 of Democritus Racing Team powered by RODOPI was crowned with success, on Saturday, June 29, 19:00-21:00, at the Karatheodoris Amphitheater, in Kimmeria, Xanthi. The event showcased the 3rd build of an electric car for which different teams collaborated for a common result, a 40% lighter vehicle using all available modern technologies. Netelco SA, always a helper, to new innovative efforts by young people gave its present. The practical engagement of university groups with the subject of study is the building block of success. We wish the Democritus University of Thrace its passion for automation, modernization and innovation only to grow.

The 1st Robotics & Automation Exhibition in Greece was completed with great success. The presence of companies dealing with the 4th industrial revolution is an important step for Greek Industry 🏭 Two state-of-the-art automation applications were presented at our booth👌   The first application concerned machine feeding in combination with the Pick & Place application. The Cobot performed a 10-movement cycle that included opening & closing the machine door, picking up and placing the treated and untreated parts, and rotating the Grip for quick motion changes.   The second application concerned the field of welding. The KR Cobot having 7 axes of movement and rotation has a comparative advantage compared to 6 axes and is capable of reaching gluing dead spots for a wide range of motion.
