🌟 Reconnecting Milan with the river Lambro: PALIMPSEST residential workshop #1! 💡From 17 to 24 June, Milan hosted the first PALIMPSEST residential workshop, kicking off an ambitious project to reconnect the city with its rich water heritage. Known for its architectural wonders and cultural history, Milan's landscape was once dominated by the River Lambro and a network of canals, including the intricate system designed by Leonardo da Vinci. Over time, urban expansion has obscured these waterways, leading to environmental degradation and a loss of historical identity. 🚩#PALIMPSEST is dedicated to the revival of this landscape. The Acqua Lambro project, led by artists gethan&myles, aims to restore the vitality of the Lambro River through community engagement and innovative approaches to the creative action. 📅 Workshop Highlights: Day 1️⃣: Warm welcome at Cascina Biblioteca and introduction to the artists’ project "Acqua Lambro". Day 2️⃣: Exploration of Parco Lambro, discussions with hydrobiologist Giulo Conte and agronomist Antonio Corbari. Day 3️⃣: Biking tour of renatured areas along the Lambro, emphasising ecological restoration. Friday & Saturday: Creative prototyping, debris collection in the river, and a visit to Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper." Day 6️⃣: Cyanotype workshop on the Lambro's banks, blending creativity with research. Final Day 7️⃣: UN conference at Politecnico di Milano and an audio interview with the artists. 🚨 NEW BLOG 🚨 The ADAM Platform developed by MEEO S.r.l plays a crucial role in making #EarthObservation data more accessible across Europe through the EO4EU Platform 🌏 Not only the ADAM Platform facilitates the integration with major #EO data providers, but it also ensures interoperability with other systems and #standardization for #data exchange. Within EO4EU, ADAM plays the role of a multi-source data #provider collecting various #datasets needed by the project consortium and exposing them through the #APIs interface connected with the other components of the system, such as the Knowledge Graph implemented by Novelcore. Novelcore recently attended the first NeuroClima plenary meeting in Lisbon on May 23rd - 24th, where we had the opportunity to define the technical and use case requirements of the project. As WP4 leaders, we elaborated on the development of the AI-boosted nervous system, which is responsible for monitoring existing trends, discourses, and perceptions related to the green transition, climate change, and other aspects of the climate imperative. ⁣ Additionally, we addressed the challenges of navigating through large volumes of information and filtering trustworthy sources within the scope of implementing the EU Adaptation Strategy and the Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change.
