Proto Thema

Proto Thema, or Thema, as the majority of Greek readers call it, is undoubtedly one of the biggest success stories in the history of Greek media. Thema is one of the best-known, most influential and the biggest selling Greek Sunday Newspaper. Additionally, it is important to mention that Thema is the only Greek newspaper with low borrowing and high profitability. It was first published in February 27th 2005 and soon after it appeared in the news stands, it commanded very high circulation rates and –until today- it is by far the best selling weekly newspaper according the figures are compiled by the certified press distribution agency in Greece. In January 2008, Thema created the Greek internet portal www.protothema.gr, as a daily e-newspaper and has also expanded its reach and deepened engagement with readers and users by delivering content online and across other digital platforms, including mobile, e-reader applications and social networking sites.
