The Role

Looking for a Principal Embedded DSP Engineer to support analyzing the audio paths for embedded wearable devices and help with the configuration of a DSP subsystem in terms of memory architecture and processing power. The candidate should also define and lead execution of testing of the audio data paths to ensure audio quality meets the lead customer’s standards.

What the role will involve:

• Define the architecture of the audio DSP subsystem and cooperate with the System Architect of the SoC.
• Help management to make the right design choices for our audio DSP platform producing the required evidence.
• Evaluation, customization, porting and optimization of Software IPs from leading providers.
• Lead the development, integration, and testing of DSP systems for audio (voice).
• Help highlight the capabilities of our solution to our clients.
• Define of the audio use case benchmark/evaluation/tuning testbench
• Collaborate with external IP providers, HW, firmware and DSP engineers.
• Perform code reviews and help develop the younger engineers in the DSP team.
• Writing code (Full Hands On), writing design and architecture documents for the software components according to our software development procedure

What is required for this role:

• Experience in Audio DSP processing on embedded devices such as feedback cancellation, adaptive beamforming, power optimized speech processing and noise cancellation (>8 years)
• Experience in C/C++ programming
• Experience in Python.
• Fixed Point DSP programming experience
• Knowledgeable user on cmake, git, gerrit, JIRA and gcc compilers.
• Agility to quickly build prototypes around new ideas.
• Understand operational requirements and develop/modify systems to meet them.
• Familiar with Key Word identification technology in low power applications.
• Desirable previous experience working to bring up audio/dsp systems on FPGA platforms for prototyping
• Desirable previous experience with the development cycle of audio SoC products
