We are currently looking for an Project Site Engineer to join our Construction team in an overhead electrical distribution lines project.The Project Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the on-site operations for the construction of overhead electrical distribution lines. This role includes ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and according to safety and quality standards. The Project Site Engineer will coordinate with various stakeholders, supervise construction activities, and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Your role will encompass:
Site Management:
Supervise and manage all on-site activities related to the construction of overhead distribution lines.
Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Technical Duties:
Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed project plans and schedules.
Review and interpret engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams.
Ensure the quality of materials and workmanship through regular inspections and testing.
Project Coordination:
Liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Prepare and present progress reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
Assist in resolving any technical issues that arise during construction.
Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical drawings.
Health and Safety:
Implement and enforce site health and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure all site personnel are aware of and comply with safety standards.
What you bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in construction or engineering projects, preferably in overhead distribution lines or electrical infrastructure.
Proven experience in project management and site supervision.
Strong technical knowledge of overhead distribution line construction and maintenance.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
