As we honored Labor Day earlier this month, I would love to talk about how we as leaders must give back to our hard-working teams, improve morale, and contribute to a culture that builds a WINNING team! I’ve realized that a high-performing team isn’t just a team that works hard; it's a team that works together and uplifts each member. Here are some ways I’ve found really help boost morale, productivity, and teamwork at DOCOMO PACIFIC: 💪🏼 Empower & Trust: Challenge your team and hold them accountable. Some of the most creative solutions we have developed are a direct result of pushing ownership through multiple layers (like a cool 3D printed expo booth)! 🎊 Celebrate Milestones: Acknowledging their wins fuels motivation and supports a positive work culture. All moments matter, whether it’s formal recognition at an event or through walking around the office. ⚖️ Promote Work-Life Balance: Telecom is a 24/7 industry and can be extremely demanding. Find what your team members do to unwind and encourage that - maybe even host a team bonding event focuses on this! 🗣️ Encourage Open & Honest Communication: The informal saying at my office is that my door is always open (even when it’s not) and I live by this with authentic active listening to make sure my team feels their feedback is valued. Leadership isn't about just directing; it's about inspiring and supporting. By focusing on morale and support, we can build teams that are not only effective but also passionate about their work. This will ultimately shines through in the success of our customers.
