We were delighted to have Huang Rui share his artistic journey and creations spanning over the past 50 years with audiences in Hong Kong last week. Deeply inspired by the I-Ching, Huang Rui has been continuously exploring cubism and abstract paintings since the 1970s. As one of the major leaders of the Stars Group and the Star Art Exhibition in 1979, Huang Rui believes that his artistic journey is characterized by independence, originality, and resilience. According to Huang Rui, a true artist should embrace freedom and encompass everything, aiming to grasp the essence of the universe and visualize the relationships between objects, spaces, and time.
