Earlier this month, our CEO, Bjørn Højgaard, had the pleasure of attending the naming ceremony of Fednav Limited’s M.V. Federal New York in Oshima, Japan alongside their President & CEO, Paul Pathy, and Executive Vice President & COO, Isabelle Brassard. This magnificent bulk carrier was built by Oshima Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., with newbuilding and project management services handled by Anglo-Eastern Technical Services (AETS). She boasts a deadweight tonnage of 34,763 and she is specialised to trade in the Great Lakes of North America. We are thrilled to have been part of this significant event and continue our partnership with Fednav that has lasted over 30 years. Our values and alignment on core issues still hold true today, anchoring our commitments and trust in one another and our capabilities. Here’s to wishing M.V. Federal New York smooth sailing, fair winds, and unforgettable adventures ahead as we take on her technical ship management requirements! #AngloEastern #Vessel #ShipManagement

We are delighted to join the Maritime Energy Training Facility (METF) in Singapore as one of 22 partners, collaborating with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). As the maritime industry evolves with a growing emphasis on sustainability and decarbonisation, the establishment of the METF is set to train approximately 10,000 seafarers and maritime personnel in the handling and operating of vessels using clean marine fuels by the 2030s. This facility will provide vital training on alternative fuel management, ensuring the global maritime workforce is prepared for the future. At Anglo-Eastern, we have long been committed to excellence in ship management and maritime training. In line with this, we are looking forward to validating existing training provisions and seeing how we can assist in the co-designing of value-added courses. The joining ceremony was held at SIBCON on 9 October, attended by Dr Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State of the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, Singapore. Anglo-Eastern was proudly represented by Vikas Trivedi, Managing Director, Technical of our Singapore tanker division. #AngloEastern #Singapore #Maritime #Innovation

Today we celebrate World Mental Health Day, a key occasion recognising the progress being made globally in support of mental wellbeing. This year's campaign calls for "prioritising mental wellbeing in the workplace", a theme that we at Anglo-Eastern hold steadfast as a top priority. Our signature “WeCare” programme has been evolving and features holistic initiatives designed to support our seafarers. This includes mental health first-aid courses focusing on the early identification of signs of emotional distress, support programmes connecting seafarers in need with professional psychological help, and monthly “Mind the Mind” webinars covering various mental wellbeing topics. Let us continue to build supportive work environments that inspire impactful action and safeguard mental health, leaning on each other so we can thrive both personally and professionally. #AngloEastern #WorldMentalHealthDay

As part of the 4th Global RE-Invest Renewable Energy Investors Meet & Expo held in India in mid-September, Prasad Nayak, General Manager, Training at Anglo-Eastern, participated in a workshop hosted by The International PtX Hub, speaking on the topic of ‘How the promotion of green shipping corridors can catalyse maritime decarbonisation’. As Prasad highlighted in his presentation, the rise of green shipping corridors will create a favourable ecosystem that supports the adoption of zero-emission fuels such as ammonia and methanol. This initiative will thrive on targeted regulatory measures, the integration of advanced technology solutions and comprehensive training for seafarers – all areas where Anglo-Eastern is well-prepared to offer support.
