Looking back on our 2023/24 season, which was filled with many unforgettable memories. One highlight was our men's team clinching the gold medal for the second time and our women's team securing bronze at the Hangzhou Asian Games. Furthermore, we made history at the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens through the introduction of the Melrose Claymores Tournament. 2023 marked the 10 year anniversary of Hong Kong Sevens becoming a full-time programme at the Hong Kong Sports Institute. To mark the occasion, caps are being awarded for players that have represented the Hong Kong China Sevens Team in a full international tournament since 2013, and, in doing so, contributed so much to the programme and growth of the game. The Sevens Capping Ceremony held on Saturday afternoon at Hong Kong Football Club recognised the first batch of capped players, with more caps being awarded at a later date. The ceremony took place ahead of the Asia Rugby Championship 2024 doubleheader, after which capped players watched from the stands as Hong Kong China Men’s and Women’s XVs both recorded impressive wins. Hong Kong China teams have competed in Asia, the UK and Europe annually across a variety of formats and levels during the last decade, including invitational spots on the HSBC World Sevens Series, Rugby World Cup Sevens, the Asian Games, Olympic Qualification tournaments and many more. In total, 27 men and 13 women collected caps on Saturday, which were awarded in order of player debut dates. The 2024 Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens brought together 40,000 fans for a true festival of rugby. 28% of ticketholders were from overseas, energising the city and reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as a premier destination for tourism. From 1 December 2023 to 7 April 2024, over 8,000 global news clippings about the Hong Kong Sevens were generated. We also reached 14,300,000 users across social media, helped by our “Greatest Hits Relay” campaign. 30 international teams competed across 72 matches, including in the inaugural Melrose Claymores tournaments, while 2,500 Minis and Youth Players took to the field in morning rugby sessions. 5 live entertainment performers also joined in on the action, as 3 incredible days combined to deliver 1 unforgettable party. 2024年國泰/滙豐香港七人欖球賽匯聚40,000名球迷，呈獻一場欖球盛宴。28%的持票人自海外抵港赴會，為這座城市注入活力，同時鞏固香港作為首選旅遊目的地的地位。 我們樂見在2023年12月1日至2024年4月7日期間，共產生逾8,000條有關香港國際七人欖球賽的全球新聞新聞。在「無懈可擊（Greatest Hits）」網上接力活動觸及14,300,000名用戶。 30支勁旅濟濟一堂，參加72場賽事，其中包括首屆舉行的 Claymores銀劍賽，另2,500名小型及青少年欖球員參加賽前的欖球表演賽。 5個表演單位亦為賽事加入現場音樂娛樂，打造三日難忘派對。

Congratulations to Hong Kong’s Craig Chan who has been confirmed as a referee for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Craig will travel to France as part of the squad of 23 match officials for the men’s and women’s rugby sevens tournaments (24-30 July). Craig has been a regular referee on the HSBC SVNS series since 2022. In heading to an Olympic Games he will follow in the footsteps of Gabriel Lee (Rio 2016) and Matt Rodden (Tokyo 2020). 恭喜陳頌豪(Craig)確認獲選擔任2024年巴黎奧運球證。作為 23 名比賽官員的一員，Craig將赴法國，為於7月24至30日舉行的男子和女子七人欖球賽執法。 自2022 年來，陳頌豪一直擔任滙豐SVNS 系列賽的常任裁判。今次他將緊隨李頴儀(2016，里約熱內盧)及Matt Rodden(2020，東京)的步伐，踏足奧運賽場。
