Last Thursday night, we had an amazing time at the 3rd Training Workshop of 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 - 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲. Our adventure took us through the vibrant streets of To Kwa Wan, including Hoi Sham Park, the famous ”red apple“ To Kwa Wan Market, the iconic 13 Streets, On Lok Factory Building, local grocery stores, and The Mahjong. Participants completed various tasks while soaking in the rich historic background of To Kwa Wan, bringing back memories of the good old days of the community. It was a night filled with exploration, learning, and nostalgia. 🌟 What an amazing day at our 2nd training session of 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 - 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲! We dove into reimagining Kowloon City with fresh eyes, using social innovation and design thinking. Following the design thinking workshop, we embarked on community visits, starting with the 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝘁 “𝗟𝗦𝗧 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴”, where engaging conversations with locals provided valuable insights. We then split into two groups—one explored the 𝗧𝗼 𝗞𝘄𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺, while the other visited the 𝗦.𝗞.𝗛. 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗘𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲. The day concluded with an inspiring Sharing Session on Technology for Social Good by Albert Au, the Founder of PharmCare 醫藥通, highlighting how innovative technology can address community challenges. After identifying certain inefficiencies in the park's facilities, students used the Design Thinking method to develop innovative solutions.
