Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest 2024 is funded by Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDAHK) of the HKSAR Government, organized by Knitwear Innovation and Design Society (KIDS) and co-organized by Hong Kong Knitwear Exporters & Manufacturers Association (HKKEMA), Hong Kong Woollen & Synthetic Knitting Manufacturers' Association (HKWSKMA) and Shenzhen Garment Industry Association (SGIA). The Contest aims to promote Hong Kong knitwear industry by raising awareness of creative knitting design and bringing emerging young talents to the knitwear industry via organizing knitwear contest with fashion shows and exhibitions in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.   The 9 finalists have collaborated with knitwear manufacturers to create 6 sets of outfits based on their own designs. Cobalt Yarn Expo FW25 successfully concluded on 21 Aug (Wed), with a total of 28 exhibitors presenting the yarns and other knitwear related products.
