Making life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs.

About us

Coloplast develops products and services to make life easier for people with deeply personal and private medical conditions. These conditions are often associated with trauma and taboo. The more intimate the condition, the greater the requirement to come closer to customers, understand their world and develop solutions that are sensitive to their special needs. We call this intimate healthcare. Closeness to all customers makes this possible. We listen to better understand needs and respond by finding new ways to do things better together. We lead the way by bringing the best ideas first and fast to market in the form of medical devices and service solutions. Deeply private and personal medical conditions are our focus. Our passion to make a real difference to people’s lives is what drives and unites us. Our culture supports high ambitions and releases the full potential of our own people to achieve them. Our business includes Ostomy Care, Continence Care, Wound & Skin Care, Interventional Urology and Voice & Respiratory Care. We operate globally, employing more than 16,500 people.

World Ostomy Day! At Coloplast, we proudly support and celebrate the remarkable individuals with a stoma who continually inspire us, as we work to make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs. To mark the occasion of World Ostomy Day on 5 October, many of our Coloplast offices will be supporting and running local activities throughout the month to raise ostomy awareness for the general public. We also encourage open conversations between healthcare professionals and patients to better understand what life can look like after ostomy surgery. With our upcoming podcasts, collaborations with user ambassadors, and supporting local patient organisations and charities - together we want to break taboos, foster a more understanding and supportive environment, and raise the standard of care for people with a stoma so that they can live the lives they want. So, stay tuned for some exciting things coming up – and for now, happy World Ostomy Day! #Coloplast #MakingLifeEasier #WorldOstomyDay #OstomyAwareness #ostomy #stoma

Exciting news from #ECTRIMS2024 in Copenhagen! Over 8000 people are gathering to share, explore, and advance the latest research in multiple sclerosis (MS) at the ECTRIMS 2024 conference. Coloplast colleagues are proud to present six posters, showcasing our commitment to improving bladder and bowel care for people living with MS. Here are some of the highlights below 👇 📋  New insights from the AWARE MS Survey emphasise the unmet needs of people with MS who have bladder and/or bowel problems. Early identification and management of these problems are important to improve daily life for people with MS (posters P1206, P1214 &  P1820). 🗨️ The MS bladder check tool, developed with international experts, has been made to increase awareness and encourage early detection of bladder symptoms (poster P1269). When people with MS use the ‘MS bladder check’, 70% find it easier to discuss bladder symptoms with their healthcare provider (poster P1833). 🏥  With concise, high-quality training modules, healthcare professionals build competence and confidence in managing bladder and bowel health in people with MS (poster P1877). If you’re at ECTRIMS 2024, come and check out the posters! #Coloplast #MakingLifeEasier #MultipleSclerosis #BladderCare #BowelCare Kim Barken Sabrina Islamoska, Anne Karin I Rasmussen, Michelle Hogan - Tricks, Claus Bøgebjerg, Clara Kobæk Larsen, Thor Rønn Johansson, Fanny Snel, Mari-Anne Greven, Astrid Grahn, Kasper Meldgaard Nielsen, Maria Möger, Nina Kierbye

Coloplast will be at the 63rd The International Spinal Cord Society - ISCOS Annual Scientific Meeting (ISCoS 2024) from 23 – 25 September in Antwerp, Belgium. During our symposium on 23 September, we will take a closer look at the struggle that intermittent catheter users, especially women, face with urinary tract infections (UTIs). A clinical microbiologist will deliver a talk on the body’s natural defence mechanisms against UTIs and deep dive into the bladder’s urothelium. Results from a clinical study with our new compact catheter for women will also be presented by the Principal Investigator. Be sure to visit the Coloplast stand where we will be showcasing our latest range of continence care products - we hope to see you there! #Coloplast #MakingLifeEasier #ISCoS #ISCoS2024
