Recently, leaders gathered in New York City to discuss climate solutions at #ClimateWeekNYC. We participated in discussions on how climate change is affecting global capital markets and its implications for investors. Physical risk moved up the agenda and we had the opportunity to share the experiences of our portfolio companies. We're also proud to contribute the asset owner perspective to developing essential market infrastructure for climate reporting and disclosure. Here are some highlights from the week: ✅ Physical Risk Moves up the Agenda: Following the opening Keynote from Johan Rockström summarizing his latest research on climate change and planetary boundaries we joined a panel to share our latest perspectives on climate risks we are seeing in the portfolio with the CEO’s assembled for the WBCSD Annual Council meeting. ✅ TCFD Closing Dinner: We were honored to attend the final event of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, a group we were proud to be a founding member of. The TCFD’s work has been instrumental in enhancing climate risk transparency across financial markets and lives on embedded in both IFRS S1 and S2. ✅ Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) Steering Committee: Our CSO took part in the first meeting of the GHG Protocol Steering Committee. The Steering Committee’s ambition is to ensure these standards remain the cornerstone of reporting for the next quarter century. ✅ ISSB Investor Advisory Group Leadership Transition: Our CSO, Richard Manley, has now finished his tenure as vice-chair of the #ISSB Investor Advisory Group and successfully transitioned the leadership role to Carine Smith Ihenacho. We are confident that under Carin’s leadership, the group’s vital work in enhancing the quality and comparability of sustainability-related financial disclosures will continue.
