It is encouraging to see that Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) have published the conclusion of the public consultation on the legislative proposal to implement the regulatory regime for stablecoin issuers in Hong Kong. This marks another significant milestone for Hong Kong in becoming a regulated hub for virtual assets and cryptocurrencies in Asia, and potentially the world. We are glad to see our participation and contribution to the consultation being taken into account, shaping the responses in this conclusion, and eventually the bill to be introduced to the Legislative Council later this year. The Hong Kong government has shown unwavering support for the web3 industry in the city, embracing voices from stakeholders across the spectrum.
