The Hong Kong Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (HKAPI) celebrated its 56th anniversary with an Annual Dinner on June 20th, 2024. The event brought together over 300 guests, including government officials, patient groups, academia, healthcare partners, NGOs, and industry members, to mark the collaborative journey towards healthcare excellence. The honourable guest, Prof. Lo Chung-Mau, Secretary for Health, commended HKAPI for its remarkable achievements over the past 56 years. He praised the association's commitment to advancing the pharmaceutical industry in Hong Kong and fostering collaborations that have significantly improved patient access to #innovative medicines. He underscored the government's ongoing efforts to develop Hong Kong as a biomedical hub and emphasized the industry's pivotal role in research and development. HKAPI President Ms. Shan Wu reflected on the association's 56-year history, noted the association's focus on serving patients and enabling Hong Kong to become a biomedical R&D hub. She expressed the importance of collaboration with different partners in Hong Kong and the GBA, emphasizing that it is through these partnerships that significant strides in healthcare progress have been made. 📢 HKAPI Market Access Workshop Empowered Members in Navigating the Pharmaceutical Landscape! 🚀 We're excited to announce the success of the HKAPI Market Access Workshop! With nearly 200 attendees, it became our largest workshop in recent years. The diverse audience, including commercial, market access, medical, and regulatory professionals, created a dynamic learning environment. The workshop covered essential topics like Hong Kong drug registration, enlistment, tendering, reimbursement systems, and the use of big data in market access strategies. Attendees also learned about organizing patient support programs for enhanced affordability.
