Empowering Disabled Motorcyclists through Lalamove Thailand and Banpu NEXT’s CSR Initiative Lalamove Thailand partnered with Banpu NEXT Company Limited, a leading smart energy solutions provider in the Asia Pacific region, as they recognise that over 1.6 million people with disabilities in Thailand face significant employment challenges. Together, we created a holistic CSR campaign “Ride for Chance, Ride for Change”, aimed at empowering disabled motorcyclists by providing them with electric motorcycles and barrier-free earning opportunities. To support this initiative, Banpu NEXT supplied electric motorcycles to our participants, who were either deaf or handicapped. They also waived rental and battery swapping fees, helping these potential driver partners overcome any financial barriers that may impede them from joining the Lalamove community. While we waived deposit fees for our new driver partners and offered comprehensive training programs designed to equip them with skills for success. We hope that this initiative not only creates more inclusive job opportunities but also helps foster independence and self-confidence among these individuals. Enhancing Data Privacy Awareness Among Our Driver Partners in Indonesia The Lalamove Driver Academy, previously held earlier this year, is designed to be a recurring initiative. Through this program, we are committed to continually enhancing the skills and competencies of our driver partners, thereby fostering a safer and more informed environment for all stakeholders involved. Our team in Indonesia collaborated with the National Digital Literacy Movement - Siberkreasi, to host a seminar titled “Digital Savvy Week: Seminar on Data Privacy Protection” as part of our Driver Academy at Mula Galeria Cilandak to deepen our driver partners’ understanding of data privacy in today’s digital landscape. This event successfully brought together about 30 driver partners. The seminar provided valuable insights into various types of personal data, the significance of confidentiality, and the emerging trends in data crimes.
