As I stepped into the #Rethink Sustainable Business Conference this morning, I was struck by the boundless ingenuity on display - companies pioneering innovative solutions to transform waste into remarkable products, from leather crafted from paper to fabrics woven from plastic. These #firstmovers are paving the way for a more circular economy, one that honors the finite resources of our planet. The most profound revelation came at the booth of our partner #OneSeed - Augusta N. Ray Horan Christopher Even . There, a captivating 'talking wall' highlighted the myriad ways in which trees and plants sustain the very fabric of human civilization. From nourishing our agricultural systems to purifying the air we breathe, these silent heroes are the lungs of our planet, essential to our wellbeing and very existence. By stroke of luck I met a friend Naman Tekriwal founder of #Breer (making beer from bread), who offered me a glass of refreshing non-alcoholic beer. This innovative beverage, crafted with sustainability in mind - sourcing unsold breads from various restaurants and bakeries, symbolizes the depth of creativity and environmental consciousness present at this conference. As I reflect on this inspiring morning, I am filled with a renewed sense of purpose. #Reforestation is not merely an ecological imperative, but a profound investment in the future of humanity. By restoring the delicate balance of natural systems, we not only safeguard the air we breathe and the food we consume, but we also unlock a wellspring of untapped possibilities - from the materials that shape our daily lives to the very air that sustains us. I did my part in planting some trees this morning. Joyce's little forest is located in Tanzania!! 😁 😍 🌲 🌳 🌴
