Congratulations to the Robotics Team from The Chinese University of Hong Kong for their remarkable achievement in securing a third victory for Hong Kong at the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest! After going through the rounds, the team from Hong Kong faced off against the Vietnamese team in the final and ultimately claimed the championship.  Hong Kong's youth demonstrate immense potential in advanced technologies. RTHK and HKSTP - Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation will collaborate to host the '𝗔𝗕𝗨 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲' competition in Hong Kong. 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆! To nurture young talents, RTHK's new DJ training programme, "𝗜 𝗔𝗺 𝗗𝗝," has officially launched. 49 diverse candidates have been selected to undergo three months of professional training. During the training, they will learn broadcasting skills and knowledge, as well as take turns appearing on Radio 2's flagship programme with the segment "I Am DJ On-air." In support of these young people, seven up-and-coming singers will try their hand at being DJs and serve as role models, sharing valuable experiences with the candidates. A group of performers and producers gathered at the Xiqu Centre yesterday (13 Aug) to officially launch the production of “𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰,” featuring talented young directors and actors. They also introduced upcoming new programmes and the latest developments in RTHK's smart broadcasting initiatives. Combining virtual technology, Hong Kong's first AI weather presenter, #Aida, served as the emcee and interacted with the audience. This advanced version of Aida was designed by the renowned Hollywood visual effects production company #DigitalDomain. 𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗞 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮 (𝗥𝗥𝗜) join forces to foster people-to-people bonds! The event "𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗞 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗢𝗣 𝗨𝗣" today (11 Aug) at Victoria Park had a special live performance by acclaimed Indonesian singer Nabila Gomes, who traveled to Hong Kong specifically for the occasion, alongside performances by Hong Kong singer Lagchun, Indonesian-Hong Kong singer-songwriters, and dance groups. The scene was alive with excitement and lively cheers from the enthusiastic crowd. RRI and RTHK have established cooperation since February 2024. One of their cooperations is the joint programme '𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗼 𝗝𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮! 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗴!', broadcast in Bahasa Indonesia by Voice of Indonesia and RTHK. This year, 59 interns from local and overseas universities across different academic fields have joined 𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗞'𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲. They have opportunities to work in various units, participating in both on-camera and behind-the-scenes tasks.
