(This Is Not Alcohol) – Is A Luxury Non-Alcoholic Beverage Cousins Imogen Hayes and Christina Trabucco in Australia, have succeeded in creating a complex, savoury beverage brimming with flavour for the no/low alcohol market. In a post-pandemic, pro-wellness world, it’s unsurprising that people are beginning to consume less alcohol. As a result, the appeal of non-alcoholic and low-ABV beverages is on the rise. In a 2022 study by the International Wine and Spirits Record (IWSR) across 10 global markets, including Australia, Japan and the United Kingdom, the no/low-alcohol category value surpassed USD$11billion. How operators can navigate low consumer confidence without overusing discounts Technomic, Inc. spoke about leaning into LTOs and menu innovation to keep customers coming back at the CREATE conference in Nashville. It’s no secret that consumer confidence is low, with 62% of people living paycheck to paycheck, according to data from Technomic. Inflationary challenges are present on restaurant menus too, with menu prices now 28% higher, on average, than in 2020, Technomic senior principal David Henkes shared during CREATE: the Event for Emerging Restaurateurs last week in Nashville, Tenn.
