On 5 Jul, the China-UAE Economic, Trade & Investment Conference (Greater Bay Area) was grandly held in Qianhai, Shenzhen. The event attracted over 300 government representatives, business leaders, and experts from China and the UAE to discuss new opportunities for China-Arab cooperation, invigorating the external circulation vitality of enterprises in the GBA, and supporting high-quality development in the region while contributing to the Belt and Road Initiative. Steven Li, Head of Middle East Business Development and Executive Director of TF International, attended the meeting and served as a panelist at the roundtable forum. He highlighted that the increased investment from major Middle Eastern capital into China reflects the Middle East's desire to accelerate economic transformation. However, Middle Eastern capital remains quite cautious, with many sovereign wealth funds setting multiple investment thresholds and attaching additional terms to ensure investment effectiveness. On July 5, Fitch Ratings affirmed the Long-Term Issuer Default Rating of BBB- with a Stable Outlook for TF Securities and its wholly owned subsidiary, TF International. TF Securities is the first and currently the only financial institution in Hubei Province to receive an investment-grade international rating, while TF International is the only company among Chinese securities firms' Hong Kong subsidiaries, and in Hubei Province and Central China, to receive an international credit rating. This affirmation of an investment-grade international rating by Fitch fully demonstrates the positive evaluation and high recognition of the stable development of TF Securities and TF International by international rating agencies. TF International sponsored the event for the second consecutive year.
