When you have given everything for your sport and see amateurs getting into it, your heart is full to see more and more people enjoying the game that you have cherished, defended, and promoted for all these years. ❤️ However, it can also feel painful at times to witness how they misuse, misinterpret the sport. They also often lack respect, class, dedication, seriousness hard work and etiquette. In a new and up-and-coming sport like padel, which is still very new in Asia, pure hardcore padel players often feel caught between two worlds. ⚖️
So, how do we create a shortcut to this negative feeling? Well, it’s simple: we must bridge both worlds. Amateurs need to see for themselves how the game is played by professionals. 💪🏽
The decision to host an FIP tournament at our venue was not made lightly; we know how to accelerate the learning curve. 🚀 We told your before. Subliminal learning and create the right environment often proves to be the most effective. In times when there were no highlights, no smartphones, and no social media, people would watch their sport of interest either on TV or in the stadium, and/or read about it in magazines. 📰 These were the three ways to create visual, sensorial, and acoustic memories.
Today, the younger generation has been conditioned to think differently. They see everything and know everything thanks to their smartphones, which give them access to information in the blink of an eye. 📱 However, what they often miss are the years of respect, hard work, practice, failures, losses, and apprenticeship that are essential for showing respect to the game itself. They think they know until they witness other humans with work ethic, commitment, and respect for the sport showcasing their talent at the highest level. 🌟 That is the moment we break barriers. This is when we create the connection for them to realize that it’s not as easy as the algorithms suggest.
The FIP tournament is not just an accomplishment for the region; it’s a milestone for the younger generation who needs guidance, mentorship, and a pathway to understand that padel is a serious sport played professionally all over the world. 🌍 It’s not merely an Instagram post or a casual activity played once every three months with running shoes and beer on the side. 🍻
The One Academy is the facilitator for your projects; it’s the holistic layer that often goes unnoticed. ✨ It’s the tipping point, as described by Malcolm Gladwell, for your future success.
