We are thrilled to share that our Executive Director, Mr. Albert Chan from 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗴 & 𝗢𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 (𝗛𝗞) 𝗟𝘁𝗱, delivered an insightful speech at the forum titled "Streamlining Development Control Measures to Enhance Construction Cost Efficiency." This event was jointly organized by the Real Estate Developers Association of Hong Kong, the Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong, and the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong, and held at the Wanchai Runway Creative on January 10, 2025.   The forum, officiated by the Deputy Secretary for Development, Mr. Lam Chi-man, JP, brought together representatives from the political, business, and academic sectors, as well as various professional associations. The discussions focused on improving land approval standards, streamlining development processes, and enhancing efficiency.   Mr. Chan emphasized the importance of using incentives such as tax reductions or cash rebates when promoting socially beneficial policies, rather than relying on floor area exemptions. He also highlighted the need for flexible handling of regulations to reduce the time and effort required for compliance, especially for projects like covered public spaces. We are proud to be part of such a meaningful dialogue that aims to drive efficiency and innovation in Hong Kong's construction sector.
