Director – Technology Transformation

About the Job

This is a leadership role that requires a dynamic incumbent with analytical mindset and strong change management skills to lead Strategic Integration, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Data and Business Intelligence, and Technology Project Management Office (PMO). You will steer complex transactions, foster data-driven culture, ensure efficient project execution for continuous improvement, and enhance shareholder value for DP World.

Key Accountabilities

• Create and execute strategic plans for infrastructure, service delivery, and enterprise applications, aligning them with business objectives and growth requirements.
• Lead digital transformation efforts to drive innovation and improve organizational efficiency.
• Promote PMO's strategic direction, governance frameworks, and project management best practices regionally.
• Manage the Technology project portfolio to align with strategic objectives, ensure timely, within scope, and within budget project delivery, track performance metrics, and optimize resource allocation for efficiency.
• Conduct thorough due diligence to evaluate potential acquisition targets strategically, financially, and operationally.
• Manage post-merger integration for realizing synergies and capturing planned value, maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, facilitate inter-departmental collaboration for seamless integration, track milestones, and mitigate risks for smooth transitions.
• Establish and execute a data strategy that aligns with regional objectives, overseeing the standardization, implementation, and optimization of BI tools for data-driven decision-making.
• Enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance, collaborate with Group Technology to develop advanced analytics, lead and mentor BI and data teams to foster continuous improvement and innovation.
• Develop high-performing teams, align IT initiatives with business goals, lead organizational change, stay updated on industry trends, and implement innovative IT solutions.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships with IT Heads and stakeholders globally, provide regular updates, tailor engagement strategies, and implement early issue resolution processes.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees such as MBA or relevant certifications will be a bonus.
• Over 10 years of experience in Transformation, M&A Integration, Data & BI, and Project Execution, with minimum 5 years in a senior management role.
• Prior relevant experience in the supply chain, logistics and/or freight forwarding industry will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated success in Technology integration as a result of M&A activity.
• Proven leadership ability to effectively engage stakeholders and foster collaboration across diverse teams and departments with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Keen awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth within the organization.
• Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and vendor management within a technology transformation context.
• Proven ability to catalyze innovation and lead transformative change initiatives that drive business growth and competitive advantage.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment and governance to ensure compliance, operational excellence, and sustainable growth within DP World.
