About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Head of Business Development for our Commercial Card Business under Business Banking. This person will play a crucial role in helping our company grow and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage business development activities to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability objectives within the commercial card business.
- Create and manage key partnerships with commercial entities to increase card portfolio, including OTA (online travel agencies) and SME clients.
- Develop strategic business plans to identify and acquire potential clients.
- Work closely with the sales, Marketing, and Product teams to understand marketplace trends and develop strategic initiatives.
- Foster a deep understanding of market trends and competitive data to drive product and market strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and industry influencers.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination within and beyond the commercial card team to allow business operations to be conducted efficiently.
- Ensure the business operates within the company policies and procedures, and is fully compliant with the industry regulations at all times.
- Mentor and develop staff to enhance performance, morale, and productivity, guiding succession planning for the team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business development role, preferably within the commercial card business.
- Proven track record in managing and directing a dynamic business development team.
- Strong knowledge of the commercial card business and its associated technologies.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with an ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Proven negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Exceptional ability in identifying and evaluating earned business opportunities.
