Head of Legal

My client, a large conglomerate in Hong Kong is currently looking to hire a head of legal for their in-house legal team.

The main responsibilities for this role will include:

Job Duties

• Drafting, reviewing and commenting on various types of contracts and legal documentations and general commercial matters
• Supervising and managing a small team of qualified lawyers and a larger team of support staff.
• Advising on ad hoc projects, business and corporate initiatives from a legal risk perspective
• Providing legal support to internal functions
• Development of internal policies and procedures

Job Requirement

• Qualified Hong Kong solicitor with 10+ years' PQE, with in-house legal experience
• Experience managing is preferred.
• Ability to engage and manage senior management and other internal stakeholders
• Strong commercial awareness
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Proactive and solutions-oriented attitude to work
• Excellent communication in written and spoken Cantonese and English
