Infrastructure Investment - Senior Associate

Background:

• Alternative investment team focuses on fund investments and co-investments in OECD countries.
• Overseas asset management platform for one of the largest insurance companies globally as well as for 3rd party.

Job Responsibilities:

• Screen and evaluate prospective infrastructure equity investment opportunities, including market and company research, financial statement analysis, valuation and modeling, and preparation of investment memos for the Investment Committees.
• Liaise with external and internal stakeholders on transactions.
• Manage and coordinate due diligence, documentation and closing processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Perform post-closing investment management and administration, including participation in briefings organized by investment managers, preparation of periodic reports for external and internal stakeholders and handling of any other matters related to the operations.
• Work with external fund administrator on capital calls and distributions, periodic reports, etc. for our third-party fund of funds.

Job Requirements:

• Accounting qualification required.
• 4-7 years of experience in two or more roles, covering Audit, Valuation, Financial Due Diligence, Corporate Finance in Big 4 Accounting Firms, Private Equity, Fund Investments, Investment Banks, Financial Institutions and/or Management Consulting Firms.
• Good analytical and numerical skills (advanced financial modelling skills).
• Attentiveness to details.
• A team player with a can-do attitude.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
• Candidates with CFA designation and/or other advanced finance / professional qualifications would be preferred.
• Industry and/or transaction experience in the Energy, Power & Utilities, Transportation and/or TMT sectors would be preferred.
