Quality Engineer

Opportunity:

YuMe (part of the Maxx Group), an award-winning designer and manufacturer of licensed toys, is immediately seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Hong Kong.

This role will focus on establishing and implementing a comprehensive quality control plan. This includes building a robust quality management system that covers key stages such as raw material acceptance, production process monitoring, and finished product inspection. You will thoroughly test new or updated products, provide technical support, and offer optimization suggestions to the product development team. And collecting and analyzing quality data to identifying the root causes of quality issues and problem-solving tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with the Company’s, the Client’s and the Statutory requirements
• Communicate with client/testing lab/internal departments on any safety related issues
• Manage various testing processes from product development to completion. On-site patrol if required
• Monitor the progress of program development from a quality assurance perspective
• Initiate and compile the necessary QA documentation based on internal policy/client’s requirements
• Establish and implement internal QA policy/procedures and factory audit program
• Perform on-going audit on the factory’s performance and implement the Company’s Quality Assurance standards/program to factories
• Provide technical support to the QC inspectors and other internal divisions

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma/ Degree in Manufacturing or related disciplines
• At least 5 years working experience in manufacturing or premium industry
• Familiar with international safety standards and regulations including ASTM, EN71, ISO8124 and others
• Good coordination and communication skills, problem solving and execution skills
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, responsible, and well-organized
• Experience in AQL inspection level (MIL-STD-105E)
• Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Willing to travel to China
