Job Overview:
The Vice President of Strategic Marketing is responsible for defining and driving the strategic marketing initiatives that support the overall business objectives of the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer insights, and competitive landscape to develop effective marketing strategies that enhance brand recognition, drive customer engagement, and achieve revenue targets. He/she will work closely with the CMO and other senior leaders to ensure that marketing strategies are integrated with the company’s sales, product, and overall business strategies.
Please note that this position is to be based in Manila, Philippines.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies that support business objectives
- Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
- Set long-term marketing goals and define metrics for success
- Market Intelligence:
- Lead market research initiatives to gather customer insights
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities
- Use data-driven approaches to inform marketing decisions
- Customer Engagement:
- Create strategies to improve customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty
- Develop customer segmentation and targeting strategies
- Oversee the development of customer journey maps and personalization initiatives
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the CMO, CEO, and other C-suite executives
- Align marketing strategies with sales, product development, and other departments
- Facilitate communication between marketing and other business units
- Performance Measurement:
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure marketing effectiveness
- Analyze marketing campaign performance and ROI
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on marketing impact and strategy adjustments
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the marketing strategy team
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Ensure the team has the necessary resources and skills to execute strategies effectively
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the marketing strategy budget
- Allocate resources efficiently across various marketing initiatives
- Justify marketing investments to senior leadership
- Technology and Innovation:
- Stay informed about emerging marketing technologies and trends
- Implement innovative marketing approaches to gain competitive advantage
- Oversee the adoption of marketing automation and analytics tools
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or related advanced degree highly preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a strategic leadership role.
- Experience from Telecommunication / online retail platform industry is an added advantage
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret extensive data to make informed decisions.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of the current marketing environment and digital tools.
- Creative thinker with a strategic and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Open to relocate
