Howie plays bass and sings and Andy plays guitar on all of the (ahem) ‘proper’ songs.
Cathy Heyden plays alto saxophone on Neighbourhood Haircut.
Cathy also plays alto sax on Capitalism is…(1), which is an improvised duet with a squeaky lift.
I recorded the lift on my phone.
Capitalism is…(2) is Andy on guitar, alone.
Capitalism is…(3) are the voices of Cathy, Andy and Howie, plus piano by Andy and sansula by Howie. It’s also improvised, and owes a lyrical debt to We Are All Prostitutes by The Pop Group.
Recorded by Danny Gras in three wee spurts between 2019 and 2020 at Studio De Kift in Koog aan de Zaan, Netherlands.
Mastered by Jim McEwan in Glasgow, Scotland.
