Doing repetitive tasks at work can have a negative impact on motivation and employee productivity. 😴 One way developers tackle repetitive tasks is by writing reusable code. Programmers don’t want to write the same methods multiple times; instead, they write them once and then reuse them wherever and whenever possible. This is where TypeScript mixins come in handy. Leap into our blog and discover how to write flexible code. 🖥 #programmingtips #typescript #development

We are proud to say that we are listed on the Technology Fast 500 EMEA list! We’ve snagged the 50th spot across the entire EMEA region, marking the highest rank achieved by a Croatian company. 🤘 While most companies on the list hail from the software sector, it’s exciting to see the Fintech sector rapidly catching up! A big shout out to Finnish mobile game Company Metacore for taking first place, and a big cheer for our fellow Croatian companies Aircash, HiveTech Ltd., Luminum ICT, Orqa, Cinnamon, and Parklio for making the list as well. Thank you, Deloitte, for consistently recognizing our growth journey!

It’s a feature, not a bug! …or is it really? 🐞 Bugs are an internal part of the development process. To collect them all, you need to find the right approach to software testing. Ask yourself: 👉 Are you testing to confirm that the software meets the requirements, or are you testing to improve its quality? 👉Is your goal to find defects, or are you focused on finding defects that automated testing may have missed? Choosing between free-spirited exploratory testing and disciplined automation testing can be challenging, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Our Marko Plečko summed his thoughts into a blog to make choosing between different testing approaches easier for you. Take a look! #QAtips #QAtesting #automatedtesting

Technology can help us significantly improve our lives and health, and I want to share two amazing examples from last week at HLTH Europe Even though in 2024, health systems, especially public ones, are still quite old-fashioned - for example many still use fax machines - however, there are many shining examples of cutting-edge technology making life better for patients. Example 1: Gert-Jan O. had a serious spinal cord injury after a biking accident and couldn't move. His fate could have been forever confined to a bed, but today, with the help of two chips by ONWARD Medical —one in the brain and another in the spine—he can walk! It's an amazing story. Example 2: Jean-Luc Gonfond, a pancreatic cancer survivor! This story was particularly touching for me, as someone in my extended family is currently fighting this very difficult disease. When you read about this condition online, you are often presented with vague and hard-to-understand statistics like "5% of people survive" or "1% are alive after 3-5 years." These numbers sound so low that, even though I am good with math, the human mind perceives them as "there is no chance." Then, you go to Amsterdam and see it's no longer "1%" but "Look, there is Jean-Luc who survived this cancer!" Companies like Cure51 are using technology to study and understand what makes people who survive cancers with low survival rates special and how to use that technology to increase the survival rates of those who would otherwise die from it. I'm very proud that Devōt has built much of its success in the HealthTech area and that the code we wrote has impacted people, making health services more accessible and easier to use than ever before. Although we do a lot of work in other industries too, seeing things like I saw last week in Amsterdam makes me want to work in the health field even more! #HLTHEurope #HealthInnovation #HealthcareTransformation #DigitalHealth
